Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km2 that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (Cow) covering a total area of 1,639 km2.
The resource base on 31 December 2015 includes 7.4 Mos. of gold and 69 Mos. of silver. Production commenced at Martabe on 24 July 2012. From 2017 the operating capacity of Martabe Gold Mine will increase to 5 mtpa ore to produce in excess of 250,000 – 300,000 oz of gold and 2-3 Moz of silver per annum.
PT Agincourt Resources engages approximately 2,300 employees and contractors, more than 98% Indonesians, of which 71% were recruited from South Tapanuli and other regions in North Sumatra.
To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:
Superintendent – Mine Development (MIN 1701002)
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Mining or Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mining industry
- Hold POP certificate, preferably POM
- Experience in early mine development construction works is essential
- Knowledge and practical experience of project management, including technical & operational aspects, reporting, and cost control
- Strong leadership, team work, and communication skills is essential
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas
- Competence in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- High level of computer literacy skills MS. Word, MS. Excel, MS. Power Point
- High commitment to PTAR standards in Environment, Safety and Ethical Conduct
This position will be based at Martabe site and reports directly to the Mining Manager.
The role of Superintendent – Mine Development is to:
- Manage the mine development construction project(s) – haul roads, water management systems/structures, new dump development, etc. – as per the agreed design, timeframe, and cost
- Provide technical advice, practical and active field supervisory, and regular project progress reports to management inclusive of tracking actual cost vs budget allocation
- Work closely with other team members to coordinate the projects, including: planning engineers, geotechnical & hydrogeology, survey, drill & blast, and operations to ensure the works carried out safely, no environmental incident, and no delays
